Delbian Pirates - Session 1
The mercantile irritant

Our adventures woke up after a hard night of relaxation and leisurely pursuits. Nigel told the group that he had left his command, thus freeing him of his military obligations and allowing him to travel with the group. They decided they wished to travel to Altdorf for Tyrel to return to the bright college for wizardly duties and decided to travel via Delberz along the Altdorf-Middenheim road as the other route via Untergard was currently occupied by several hundred Beastmen.

After haggling with new party member Theo they made there way down to the gates of Middenheim where they encountered an old employer Engelbert Lancier and his two loyal teamsters Felix and Verner. After much haggling with Engelbert and some minor convincing via Felix the party agreed to guard Engelbert’s caravan for the trip down to Delberz.

The trip was largely uneventful and by the end of it Theo and Tyrel was that frustrated with indecisive and annoying merchant that they were ready to tear his head off, fortunately common sense prevailed and they reached there destination without fault.

The party then booked a night at the Charred Mare where they spent the night gambling chatting and eventually fighting. Tyrel found out that there was a piracy problem on the river caused by Captain Sigmund Sirehart and that there was a substantial reward for his capture, he also found out the Heye Shipping Co had a small reward out for information about pirate sightings.

Nigel spent the night chasing various women throughout the tavern with mixed success. Dorf spent his time with some fellow dwarves who told him of the gossip and later went out with Theo while Theo spent the majority of his night playing cards with Jeanne-Jos├ęphine Potier before discovering she was not willing to have sex with him, he then threatened her and left the inn with Dorf.

The adventure ended late in the night, Nigel was well on his way to wooing a local tavern girl, Tyrel had washed up and was keen to spend some time with Jean, Dorf had just beaten up a marine in the docks for a paid bet and Theo made a nice profit on wagers from the fight.

Sins of the father....

The party awoke in a cell below the city of Altdorf there they learnt the reasoning behind Theophil Garterfield and why he betrayed the party to Hahn Golder. The party was forced to watch from the constraints of their cell as Mario Rosseto tortured a helpless Ilse Heye and watch as Ursel Forstner stabbed a beaten and bloody Ilse to finish her off. They next moved on to Lindenberg Shulze who had been in captivity since the beginning of the adventure. Here they learnt that Lindenberg was actually Otto von Clausen, a former business tycoon thought to be dead by Hahn Golder’s own hands.

Hahn attempted to kill Lindenberg, like he had done so many years ago, but was interrupted when a party of guardsmen led by Captain Hershel Sturmgahner and Hov Borad stormed the premises. Ursel, Hahn and Mario escaped but Theo was killed by Hov Borad in an act of vengeance.

The guardsmen took the injured party members and the comatose body of Ilse Heye (who had miraculously survived) to a nearby Shallyan ward to recover. Captain Sturmgahner devised a plan in which Hov Borad was to start a riot (caused by angry dock workers) and during the cover of the choas raid the Rosseto and Golder estates to finish them off. The party agreed to assist Hov Borad in raiding the Golder’s and leave Captain Sturmgahner to raid the Casa di Rosseto.

The party remembered the secret sewer entrance to the Golder estate from their last visit below Altdorf and continued down there, leaving Hov and the angry populace to storm the above entrance. The group encountered some Golder security guarding the secret hatch, they dispatched them with ease but found out the Hahn had already escaped from the sewers.

They pursued him with some brief assistance from Maggio Paddins and they confronted Hahn and his son Leonhard along with some guardsmen. The fight was brutal and the party only jsut made it out alive, unfortunately during the chaos Hahn and Leonhard managed to escape.

The party returned to the Shallyan ward to tend to their (quite severe) wounds and learnt the aftermath of the riots. Mario Rosseto managed to escape the raiding party but Mario’s daughter Sienna was killed along with his 2ic Emilio Maretti. During the Golder raid the rioters succumbed to their base instincts and killed Hahn Golders wife and his two 2 grandchildren. Hov Borad and the guardsmen managed to kill Gottleib Forstner (Hahns son-in-law) but in turn Ursel Forstner killed Hov and made her escape.

Lindenberg told the group that Ilse was in fact his daughter and that he was leaving the party to assist her in her recovery.

A history of Violence - Session 4
The true villians emerge...

The party started off the adventure seeing Hahn Golder as per Mario Rosseto’s suggestion. Hahn had a job for the party, he wanted him to protect his son-in-law Gottleib from a would be assassination attempt. His plan was to lure the assassins out and have the party and his security chief Ursel Forstner deal with the bandits, question one and fight out who is responsible. Problem was when they met Ursel she met the description of the woman who kidnapped Lindenberg.

The party escorted Gottleib and were ambushed, they defeated there foes but not before Pierce and Tyrel sustained some nasty injuries. Pierce’s efforts were particularly comical as he was severely out classed by a standard unknown merc by the name of Curly.

Dorf dragged his broken party to a Shallyan ward and left them there for the night while he discussed Mario’s illicit business deal with Kurt Becker. Kurt informed the party that there was a merchant ball on the following night and it would be a good chance to spy on Mario. Dorf agreed and picked up the rest of the party in the morning and saw Hahn Golder to collect their payment. Hahn offered the PC’s a new job where they were paid to tail a stage coach exiting to the ball, Hahn offered more money for them to kill the people in the stage coach. The party agreed.

The party then decided that they need to infiltrate the ball as servants and went about “acquiring” the uniform of some servants. They infiltrated the ball successfully and learnt that Louis Grellier planned the assassination of Gottleib, Mario’s daughter was married to Hahn Golder’s son and that Hahn Golder orchestrated the kidnapping of Lindenberg.

After the ball ended the party trailed the stage coach like they were instructed to and found out the passengers were none other then the Grelliers. The party tried intervened but the Golder security successfully murdered Louis Grellier and the majority of his family, they escaped with their lives thanks to the city watch.

The next morning the party laid low to weather out the storm, believing that they were the targets of Golder led assassinations when they heard the workers strike had ended. They investigated and found out that was indeed true and that all the entire dock was in celebration mode and that the official announcement would be tomorrow. The PC’s parted the night away with Ilse Heye, Hov Borad, Theophil Garterfield, Kurt Becker and hundreds of other strike members in celebration. Upon exiting the pub the party felt unwell and shortly after they realised they had been poisoned, they were ambushed under the cover of darkness, Ilse succumbed to the poison, Kurt took a crossbow bolt to the chest and the rest of the party were beaten down by footpads. The last thing they saw before they blacked out was the figure of Ursel Forstner moving towards them…

A History of Violence - Session 3
A new best friend or a new worst enemy?

The party continued where they left off, with the body of Hahn Hawthorn on their back, Maggio Paddins at their side and waist deep in the tepid sewers of Altdorf. They found Isolette’s missing necklace and gave the body of Hahn to the priests of Morr. During the night they also saw Theophil Garterfield to tell him of the fate of his friend. Theo asked the group to help with the strike when they weren’t busy and bade them farewell.

The next morning they returned Isolette’s necklace and met Kurt Heye and his wife, they discussed many things including the bad blood between Hahn Golder and the long deceased Otto Von Clausen and his daughter’s involvement in the strike.

The party then made their way to the docks and met Mario Rosseto who gave them a particularly vague job involving shifting “something” from “somewhere else” and putting it “somewhere” but this was to be done later in the afternoon. The group then decided to help with the strike and distributed fliers with Ilse Heye

Turns out the “something” they needed shifting was a body and that they needed to dump it in the river, the party were then mock arrested by Kurt Becker who offered them the choice of a murder conviction or spying on Mario Rosseto. The party agreed to the latter option and Kurt released them and told them to report to him what mario does.

Mario gave the group a second job where they acted as his body guards during a business deal. The deal went sour when Mario shot his rival Geshtapo Maciovelli in the face and after a bloody melee the party reigned supreme over the Maciovelli mercanaries. Mario was so impressed by the parties “enthusiasm” that he offered a bonus to their normal pay.
